Details of the deal haven't been revealed at this time. The news comes shortly after it was reported that wide receiver Jakobi Meyers requested a trade from the team.
The 31-year-old is entering his 11th season and it'll be with the team that drafted him fourth overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. Cooper spent the first three-and-a-half years with the Raiders back when they were still in Oakland.
Cooper made the Pro Bowl for three of those almost four years, posting over 1,000 yards receiving in each of those years (2015, 2016, 2018). He became the first-ever Raiders rookie to have a 1,000-yard season.
The Raiders traded him during the 2018 season to the Dallas Cowboys, where he also spent three-and-a-half years posting two more 1,000-yard seasons (2019, 2020).
In 2019, Cooper landed in Cleveland as a member of the Browns, where he posted another two 1,000-yard seasons before the team eventually traded him to the Buffalo Bills during last season.
Cooper's 2024 was uneventful. He posted a career low in targets (85), receptions (44), yards (547), and touchdowns (4). However, it was still a season in which Cooper became the 57th receiver in NFL history to surpass 10,000 receiving yards.
Now, the five-time Pro Bowler will be joining a Raiders wide receiver room that is in desperate need of some help.
Las Vegas will start their season on September 7th against the New England Patriots.
