Denmark Open's journey towards Super 1000 status has been possible thanks to a targeted effort, especially since the tournament's move to the OCC and Jyske Bank Arena four years ago. The modern facilities under one roof have created a unique and optimal setting for players, VIPs, and the audience.
Super 1000 status means, among other things, that the pool of prize money increases significantly and the tournament is extended to 11 days, which is expected to attract even more badminton fans from around the globe.
"The World Tour Super 1000 is, after all, badminton's answer to the Grand Slam. A status that is traditionally only achieved by the most prestigious tournaments. The fact that we are in that company naturally strengthens the tournament's profile enormously, and it positions Danish badminton as a stable contender within the sport."
