The victory secures Ghana's participation in the continental competition, with the Black Sharks finishing fifth at the previous tournament in 2024.
Ghana produced an impressive performance against their West African rivals, combining attacking quality with defensive discipline to secure qualification against one of the continent’s established beach soccer sides.
The Black Sharks started strongly, taking an early lead and maintaining their attacking intensity as Nigeria attempted to fight back.
Ghana responded whenever the Nigerians threatened a comeback, eventually securing a three-goal victory to confirm their place at the tournament in Senegal.
The qualification marks an important step for the Black Sharks as they seek to re-establish themselves among Africa’s leading beach soccer nations following their absence from the previous edition.
Ghana will now prepare for the 2026 tournament, where they will face some of the continent’s strongest teams, including defending champions Senegal, Egypt and Morocco.
Beyond continental honours, the competition will also provide an opportunity to pursue qualification for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
