19:26 CET - A crazy game has come to an end and after all is said and done the headline reads Liverpool extend their lead at the top of the Premier League.
It is the perfect way to celebrate Christmas for their fans as Arne Slot's incredible start to life as Liverpool manager continues. Make no mistake, Liverpool are the team to beat this season on all fronts.
As for Tottenham, they never no when to die under Ange but they are also so soft and vulnerable at the back. It might be entertaining but it is not effective - Spurs are such an easy team to score against.

19:15 CET - This game is madness! Luis Diaz scores the ninth goal of the game and Liverpool's sixth after finishing a patient team move to make sure of three points in this crazy match which feels more like a game of basketball.
19:13 CET - Hang on! This time it is Solanke who scores after a clever headed assist from Brennan Johnson and it is a clincal finish.
19:01 CET - A clever dinked pass from Dominic Solanke found Dejan Kulusevski inside the box and the in form Swede volleyed an effort brilliantly past Allison to restore a bit of pride for his side.

A poor goal to concede from Liverpool who until then had been almost faultless and relentless in their pursuit of victory.
18:07 CET - Liverpool have doubled their lead and Spurs are in big trouble now as Alexis Mac Allister heads in from close range. Game over? It will be if Liverpool can score a third before the break and considering how poor the hosts have been, I wouldn't be surprised if they did just that.

17:25 CET - Just five minutes until kick-off at the London Stadium as Squid Game makes a surprise appearance ahead of kick-off.
17:07 CET - It is half-time in LaLiga and Real Madrid are flying so far. Their attacking talent has clicked into place at an important stage of the season and it was on full display in that 45 minutes.
The standout moment came from summer signing Kylian Mbappe who continues to silence his critics with a thunderbolt strike from range which found the top corner. Fede Valverde then added a second with another sensational strike from range before Rodrygo finished off a team goal with a composed finish.
Sevilla pulled one back to give them some hope but it is Real's game to lose.
16:54 CET - It is all over in the early Premier League games and a dark afternoon for Manchester United who look like a hopeless cause.
Bournemouth outplayed and outfought United at Old Trafford to win 3-0 and pile more misery on Ruben Amorim. Another great display and result for Andoni Iraola however as his side move up to fifth in the Premier League!

22:55 CET - I think only Barcelona will know how they didn't manage to find a winner late on against Atletico Madrid after countless chances came and went and then a dagger in the last seconds through Alexander Sorloth who helped the visitors steal a win.
Barcelona weren't clinical enough and Jan Oblak was in prime form to deny the hosts time and time again. 2-1 it finishes and a huge win for Diego Simeone's side in a game they deserved nothing from. Atletico are very much in this title race.
22:42 CET - Lazio have avoided a potentially disappointing evening with a 2-1 win against 10-man Lecce after a late winner from defender Adam Marusic.
The visitors were pegged back in the 50th minute but found a way against the 10 men of Leece to stay in the hunt for the Scudetto at the winter break.

19:58 CET - Napoli have claimed a battling 2-1 win away at Genoa to clinch a crucial three points which sees them - at least temporarily - move to the top of Serie A.
19:23 CET - It's half-time in the clash between Palace and Arsenal, and it has been a fantastic 45 minutes of action. Gabriel Jesus has continued his fine form following a hat-trick in the EFL Cup against the same opposition on Wednesday, scoring twice here today to help the Gunners to a 3-1 lead. Kai Havertz also got on the scoresheet, while Ismaila Sarr bagged for the hosts.

17:45 CET - It is proving to be a thrilling Serie A title race, and next, Napoli visit Genoa in 15 minutes, as they aim to go top of the table - at least temporarily.
17:31 CET - It's been a disastrous day for Frankfurt, who would have gone second in the Bundesliga with a win but lost 3-1 at home to Mainz despite the fact that the visitors had a man sent off after just 21 minutes.
Wins for Gladbach and Werder Bremen mean that things are looking very tight indeed in the race for European football.
