09:00 CET - Good morning and welcome to the Roland Garros Women's semi-final day! After yet more upsets in the quarter-finals, the 2026 edition of this great competition is wide open and anyone's to go and win. If there were to be a favourite (and yes, we use that term loosely at this stage), it would have to be teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva.
The impressive young Russian star has been immense at Roland Garros so far this year, having dropped just one set en route to the semi-finals and that came all the way back in the second round.

Sorana Cirstea has been playing some of the best tennis of her career lately, yet Andreeva cruised past her with ease in the quarter-finals, dropping just three games in two sets of dominant tennis. However, if anyone can give Andreeva the challenge she has yet to face at this year's tournament, it would be the red-hot Marta Kostyuk.
The Ukrainian world number 15 has been mightily impressive throughout the last fortnight and has already beaten the Queen of clay, Iga Swiatek and the in-form Elina Svitolina en route to this semi-final. Her victory over Svitolina was her toughest test and just the second time she was forced into a final-set decider.
Yet Kostyuk showed her class and confidence in the final set to book her place in the semi-finals and keep her French Open dream alive.
