Tappara had won their previous two matches with shutouts but Lukko took just under nine minutes to break the deadlock tonight through Heikki Liedes, but a second goal in as many games for Joachim Blichfeld levelled matters again just over two minutes later.
Both sides survived two-minute penalties either side of the 20-minute mark before Jesper Mattila struck with five minutes gone in period two to put Tappara in front, yet the visitors' lead was also short-lived, as Henri Ikonen equalised a little more than a minute later.
In the third period, Lukko again denied Tappara on the powerplay after a delay of game penalty, then struck the decisive fifth goal in the eighth minute, as Antti Saarela teed up brother Aleksi Saarela to ensure the three points stayed in Rauma.
Nuutti Viitalsalo's two assists were enough to make him the top point-scorer in the match, as Lukko climbed to fifth in the standings with four wins from seven, while Tappara sit eighth as their title defence continues to be inconsistent - they have won three and lost three, all in 60 minutes, thus far.
