Mammoth 7-2 Islanders
Guenther (20) would score his first two goals in the second period, which helped give the Mammoth a 3-1 lead heading into the final frame.
After two power-play goals from his teammates, Mikhail Sergachev (6) and Clayton Keller (13), followed by a power-play goal from the Islanders' young phenom, Matthew Schaefer (10), Guenther found the net for a career day.
Nick Schmaltz (14) would score the final goal of the game to give the Mammoth the win as they improved to 19-19-1.
The Islanders fell to 22-15-4.
Maple Leafs 6-5 Jets
Auston Matthews completed his 14th career hat trick en route to the Maple Leafs win.
Troy Stecher (2) would tie things up for the Leafs late in the third period. Then, Matthews would score his third of the night and the eventual game-winner with less than five minutes off an unassisted backhanded shot.
Despite the Jets putting up five goals on 40 shots, they dropped their third straight and now sit at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 15-20-4, just a season removed from winning the Presidents' Trophy for the best record in the league.
Toronto improved to 19-15-6 and have won back-to-back.
Canadiens 7-5 Hurricanes
The Canadiens put up a season-high seven goals, making it six straight seasons where the team has scored at least seven in a game.
After going down 4-2, the Habs would score four straight and five of the game's final six goals.
All seven goals would come from seven different players, with five different players recording two points each, as Montreal improved to 22-12-6 after winning back-to-back games.
Carolina, on the other hand, fell to 24-13-3 after losing back-to-back games.
Penguins 4-3 Red Wings
Penguins star Sidney Crosby scored the game's first two goals, each within a minute of each other and both within the first five minutes of the game, bringing his season goal total to 23.
After the Red Wings tied it up at two a piece, Blake Lizotte (4) would give Pittsburgh the lead before Detroit's Alex DeBrincat (21) would score on a power play with just under two minutes left in regulation to send it to overtime.
Pittsburgh would go on to win their third straight after veteran Kris Letang (3) sent one into the net for the OT game-winner, improving to 18-12-9.
Despite the loss, Detroit still sits atop the Eastern Conference with a 24-14-4 record.
Senators 4-3 Capitals
Ottawa would edge by in a close one, thanks to a goal from Fabian Zetterlund (10) with just over two minutes left in regulation.
Washington originally got out to a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Tom Wilson (22) and Dylan Strome (9), but the Senators responded with three straight goals of their own.
Aliaksei Protas (16) would tie it up for the Caps before Zetterlund would send home the eventual game-winner a couple of minutes later.
Ottawa improved to 19-15-5, breaking their three-game losing streak, while the Caps fell to 21-15-5
Lightning 5-3 Kings
Brayden Point (9) would score the Lightning's first two goals as they found themselves down 3-2 just two minutes into the third period.
But with three straight goals from Anthony Cirelli (11), Gage Goncalves (4), and Nikita Kucherov (19) in the final 3:20 of the game, the Lightning rallied as they improved to 24-14-3, extending their winning streak to six games.
The Kings fell to 16-14-9 and have now lost back-to-back games.
Blackhawks 4-3 Stars
Ilya Mikheyev's (8) two goals would be enough to hold off a late Stars rally as the Blackhawks improved to 15-18-7.
After going down 4-1, Dallas' Jason Robertson (24) and Matt Duchene (3) would put up a pair of goals late in the third period, but couldn't find the chance to tie it.
Dallas fell to 25-9-7, having lost back-to-back games. They still sit comfortably in second in the Western Conference.
