Bader gives the Phillies a nice right-handed bat in the lineup. The 31-year-old is slashing 258/.339/.439 with 12 home runs, 38 RBI, and 10 stolen bases through 96 games this season.
Bader's .339 on-base percentage is a drastic improvement from last season's .284. He's coming off a solid July, hitting .290 with a stellar .952 OPS and five home runs, the most in a month from Bader all year.
The veteran is currently on a one-year deal, but has a club option for 2026 if the Phillies decide to keep him around.
Mendez is slashing .290/.374/.434 with eight home runs and 46 RBI through 85 games in Double-A this season. The 21-year-old Dominican native is already looking primed for a call-up to Triple-A this season and possibly the MLB in 2026.
Villoria is a 16-year-old pitcher from Venezuela currently throwing a 4.50 ERA in five starts down in the Dominican Summer League. He's recorded 19 strikeouts to just four walks through 14 innings, but has given up seven earned runs on 11 hits.
