Eredivisie leaders PSV have suffered yet another injury setback after centre-back Olivier Boscagli (27) picked up a muscle injury which will keep him out for the foreseeable future.
Boscagli suffered the injury in the Champions League game against Liverpool (3-2) and has not been given a timeline for his return, though the club communicated he will be sidelined "for the time being.”
“We will have to await next week to wait and see how my body reacts, then we can better determine exactly how long I will be out for,” Boscagli said on the PSV website.
“The timing is annoying, with so many important matches coming up. But I will try my hardest to resume group practice as soon as possible.”
The French centre-half is a crucial player for Peter Bosz, having played in 29 games across all competitions this season for the league leaders.
