Europa League semifinalists, Bodø/Glimt, have signed AaB's 24-year old striker Mathias Jorgensen on a four-year deal.

"It's lovely, I've been looking forward to it. I was really happy when I got the message, and I'm ready to start right away", says Mathias Jørgensen in his first interview with glimt.no.

"Glimt is a fantastic big club that has had a lot of success in recent years. It is a well-run football club in every possible way."

Jorgensen has followed Glimt in recent years and has been impressed by what has happened in Bodø. Now he wants to contribute to the team and take new steps.

"I see myself as a versatile attacking player who can cover all the positions at the front of the pitch, but I see myself mostly as a winger. I like to use my physical package, I'm also good at running deep", says Jorgensen.

Mathias Jorgensen joined AaB from Esbjerg fB on 1 February 2024 and has since scored 27 goals and produced nine assists in 52 official matches for the club.

CEO Michael Tuxen Boll states:

"From his first day in AaB, Mathias has been a big profile for us, which is also reflected in his impressive number of goals and assists for our club in the past year where he has worn the captain's armband with dedication and loyalty."

"His strong performances have quite naturally generated great interest from other clubs, and after good and respectful negotiations with Bodo/Glimt, we have reached an agreement that both clubs are happy with, and which may help fulfill Mathias' boyhood dream of playing in the Champions League", says Michael Tuxen Boll
