FC Copenhagen clinched a very late equalizer in the 2-2 draw against OB in Odense, but are still very much in danger of missing out on the Championship playoffs for the Danish Superliga with one round remaining.

Jacob Neestrup's troops did well to turn a 0-2 into 2-2 draw when they visited Odense in the Superliga on Saturday, but if you look at the table, it still doesn't look too good for the reigning champions.

FC Copenhagen enter the 22nd match round in the Superliga's seventh place and are thus in serious danger of missing Top 6 for the first time in the club's history.

It was FC Copenhagen's first point after four successive defeats, but there wasn't much to be proud of for Neestrup's men in Odense, even though they began the match brightly.

Despite the visitor's overall dominance, Odense fashioned the biggest chances and should even have been ahead before they took the lead just before half-time. Jann Fiete Arp stole the ball and created a perfect delivery for Noah Ganaus, who flicked the ball on for the onrushing Jona Niemiec, who slotted the ball into the net past of Dominik Kotarski.

Bad then turned to worse for FC Copenhagen just eleven seconds into the second half when the ball fell kindly for Ganaus deep inside the Copenhagen box, and Ganaus made no mistake, guiding the ball past Kotarski.

Swedish international striker Jordan Larsson then gave the visitors a lifeline after 65 minutes when he got on the end of a curling cross to rifle the ball into the roof of the net to spark off intense celebrations amongst the FC Copenhagen supporters.

Deep into extra time, FC Copenhagen then managed to rescue at least one point when Pantelis Chatzidiakos rose high to head a rebound into the net after Odense goalkeeper Viljar Myhra had failed to clear the ball properly.
