Janni Serra from reigning champions AGF in May celebrated winning the Danish title by holding a flare along with a number of Aarhus supporters.
This has caused the German striker to be handed a two-match suspension by the Disciplinary Committee of the Danish FA. The Committee says that the suspension cannot be appealed.
"We strongly condemn the use of pyrotechnics", said AGF in a press release in May. "It is illegal and even though it happened in a moment of understandable euphoria, it was wrong and ill-considered by Janni (Serra, ed.), and we will naturally address this with him internally", stated Football Director Carsten V. Jensen to media Aarhus Stiftstidende.
Serra will miss AGF's matches against Brondby IF and Lyngby Boldklub.
