After the triumph at Brondby Stadium, Poulsen explained to Viaplay that he had tried to prevent the players from getting caught up in the hype around the race for the title.
"It is difficult to understand how wild it really is that it has finally happened again in Aarhus. We are very proud of what we delivered this season", says Poulsen to Viaplay.
"I think you can see how I feel. The lips sit far out by the ears, so of course, I am happy and proud of what we have delivered. Sometimes you try to be calm. Sometimes you try to play the game and try to be calmer than you really are."
AGF CEO Jacob Nielsen says that thirst and longing for success have permeated the club and its fans for decades. Three relegations and financial chaos have tormented the club, and therefore, it is, to put it mildly, a great redemption in Aarhus.
"We have been the subject of bullying in football in Denmark. That is why everything explodes not here and in Aarhus right now. It is unique", says Jacob Nielsen to local paper Aarhus Stiftstidende.
He points out that AGF still has some catching up to do in relation to signing the big players on the Danish football scene. But he is close to promising that AGF's fans will not have to wait 40 years before AGF win the Danish championship again.
"You have to be careful in these moments when you announce something. Especially when you are from Aarhus. But it won't be that long again. We have to sustain ourselves at the top of the Danish Superliga."
One round remains in the Danish Superliga; AGF are four points ahead of FC Midtjylland at the top of the table.
