Silkeborg - Vejle
Silkeborg had the better of the opening stages of their game against Vejle. The home side often managed to find space to escape Vejle’s pressing game and took a deserved lead after nine minutes, when Callum McCowatt stole possession in midfield and delivered a finely-tuned through ball for leading goalscorer Tonni Adamsen who scored with a cool finish.
Vejle, however, gradually found their feet, and restored parity after 36 minutes when Anders Jacobsen delivered a perfect pass on a counter-attack for Dimitrios Emmanouilidis who provided a clinical finish past Silkeborg-keeper Nicolai Larsen.
While the first half offered end-to-end action for the crowd in Silkeborg, the second half turned into a more tactical affair where both sides seemed more keen on preserving at least one point than going for the win.
Silkeborg did manage to score just before the final whistle, when Alexander Simmelhack volleyed home a perfect cross from Julius Nielsen, but VAR ruled the goal offside.
Lyngby - Viborg
The importance of the game was quite evident in Lyngby’s game against Viborg in a match rich on man-to-man action but with fairly few chances in the first half.
Viborg did, however, have opportunities to pull ahead, when Isak Jensen barely missed the target after ten minutes and Renato Júnior wasted a glorious chance, when he came face with Lyngby-keeper Jonathan Aegidius, following a superb delivery from Thomas Jorgensen but couldn’t find the target.
Viborg dominated the first 15 minutes of the second half where they continued the promising display that set up the big chance for Renato Júnior at the end of the first half.
However, after Viborg-coach Jakob Poulsen replaced Isak Jensen, Srđan Kuzmić and Justin Lonwijk with Charly Nouck, Asker Beck og Jean Manuel Mbom, the visitors lost their grip on the game.
Lyngby looked more dangerous towards the end of the game and 10 minutes from time Saevar Magnússon came closest to breaking the deadlock with a long-range effort but the match ended goalless.
