Bradley Cross has been named in the selection, along with AmaKhosi teammate Brandon Petersen, who is one of four goalkeepers. Ronwen Williams, Ricardo Goss and Sipho Chaine are the others. Three are likely to travel.
Philadelphia Union centre-back Olwethu Makhanya, who many feel has been unlucky to miss out on selection in the past, has been included, with Siyabonga Ngezana not considered after his recent battles with injury.
Nkosinathi Sibisi, Khulumani Ndamane, Ime Okon and Mbekezeli Mbokazi are also included, with four likely to make the final cut.
Brooklyn Poggenpoel from Durban City has been included among the midfielders, along with Lebohang Maboe from Chiefs, who played his last international in 2021.

Lyle Foster, Evidence Makgopa and Iqraam Rayners are the centre-forwards, while the playmakers are Themba Zwane, Patrick Maswanganyi and Relebohile Mofokeng.
Kamogelo Sebelebele has been included as a winger despite playing right-back all season for Pirates, with Thapelo Morena also back in the mix. Bongokuhle Hlongwane has not been invited back afetr disappointing against Panama in March, while the absence of Mohau Nkota is also a big surprise.
