The 23-year-old set up both goals in Pirates' 2-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs, taking his tally to four assists in the league this season.
That puts him joint-top of the Premiership assists chart alongside AmaZulu's Nkosikhona Radebe and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tashreeq Matthews.
But Mokobodi has achieved his tally in fewer game-time than either of his rivals, having spent 659 minutes on the pitch in league competition.
That works out at an assist every 165 minutes, making him the most productive of the trio.
Matthews is next on the list, having registered his four assists in 683 minutes, an average of one every 171 minutes.
Radebe, who has earned Bafana Bafana recognition after being named in coach Pitso Mosimane's preliminary squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya later this month, has needed 796 minutes for his four assists, or one every 199 minutes.
Mokobodi first rose to prominence at Marumo Gallants, where he spent two seasons between 2023 and 2025 before joining Stellenbosch for the 2025/26 campaign.
He impressed in the Cape Winelands, prompting Pirates to make a move for the midfielder ahead of the current season.
While many players struggle to adapt to the pressure and expectations that come with joining one of South Africa's biggest clubs, Mokobodi has made the transition appear effortless.
Interestingly, he had not previously registered a goal or an assist in the Betway Premiership before this season.
He has also scored the first two goals of his senior career this term, both in cup competitions, against Sekhukhune United in the MTN8 and Milford FC in the Carling Knockout.
With his four league assists and two cup goals, Mokobodi is already proving an inspired acquisition for the Buccaneers.
