Iraola, who signed a two-year deal with the side, has said he wants to give Liverpool fans "a team they can be proud of" as he takes over a club that finished trophyless under Arne Slot last season.
The Reds have seen Victor Munoz arrive in a deal from Osasuna over the past month, but the club have also lost Salah, Ibrahima Konate and Andrew Robertson this summer as their rebuild continues.
Salah, who made 442 appearances for the club, scored 257 goals, and provided 120 assists across all competitions as he established himself as a club legend.
Speaking this week, Iraola revealed that as Liverpool try to replace him, they will not try and bring in a player who can match his exact skill set.
"I think it’s one of the challenges when I arrived… I think we cannot expect to sign a winger that is going to replace Mo Salah because otherwise we are preparing him to fail almost.
"I think obviously we need someone in that area but probably will have different skills. He can maybe complement the team in another way, and we are working on it definitely!"
Liverpool travel to America next Monday for preseason before games against Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds United. The hunt for a new winger continues, but fans will have to wait a number of weeks to see a fresh face, according to reports.
